Anamol Mani’s Unnais Number released
Author and poet Anamol Mani’s second anthology of short stories, Unnais Number, has hit the shelves. Among other themes the book revolves around are the rise of the middle-class in Nepal and their boundless desires, Nepal’s education system, and the 10-year long Maoist insurgency.
“I write stories to converse with the times and to comprehend the age that we live in. When I engage in this conversation, I find several subjects, which comes out as stories,” author Mani said. Speaking about the book, Unnais Number, he said, “Every person in the world harbours plenty of stories in them. In the book, I have tried to unearth many of those told and untold stories.”
Prior to this, Anamol Mani has published books such as Nilima ra Gadha Adhyaro (short stories), Sabut (poetry anthology), Aajaka Nepali Katha (edited), and Nadi Kinaar ma Ubhiyera, among others.
Unnais Number is published by Shangrila Books and is priced at Rs 275.
