The commission on Tuesday seized the documents of examination and education departments for necessary investigation. Chairman of the commission Gauri Bahadur Karki, who is a former Supreme Court justice, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Education Surya Prasad Gautam and Dr Upendra Devkota reached the institute for the investigation.
The commission has seized the documents of 2012 on the basis of complaints that claimed financial irregularities in MD/MS examination, leakage of question papers and tampering with the results of the Medical Council’s examinations, Karki told the Post.
Balbhadra Prasad Das and Nirmal Baral, who were the vice-chancellor and dean of the institution at the time, had resigned in the wake of the widespread criticism over question paper leakage and financial irregularities.
