The Tigor is classified as a ‘Styleback’ which features a stunning, break-free and revolutionary design with a lively and dynamic stance, reads a press release.
At a starting price of Rs23.45 lakh, the Tigor looks to build on Tata Motors’ existing passenger vehicle portfolio and addresses the needs of the ever evolving customer.
Johnny Oommen, head of international business at Tata Motors inaugurated the launch of the Tigor and shared his thoughts on the new car, “With our passion to shape the mobility tomorrow, we have constantly pushed the boundaries of automotive engineering by creating new category of vehicles. This pursuit of something different led us to what we call ‘Styleback’—our re-definition of the compact sedan category.”
The Tigor is powered by a next-gen 1.2L Revotron petrol engine with multi drive modes that provides class-leading driving dynamics, reads the press release. To ensure superior ride quality, the Tigor is equipped with dual path front and rear suspension for the perfect balance between a comfortable ride and superior handling. The car is also intelligently engineered with superior legroom and 24 utility spaces to provide ample storage to carry one’s world along.
With ample storage and performance, the Tigor also offers a safe driving experience with dual airbags, ABS and EBD with CSC (Corner stability control) as well as reverse park assist with camera, reads the press release.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, CEO of Sipradi Trading, Rajan Babu Shrestha said, “We are very proud to be the first international market of Tata Motors that is launching Tigor. The Indian sales figure is proof that the Tigor is a gem of a product and we expect it to do wonders in the Nepalese market.”
With a renewed focus on design, Tata Motors is looking to recapture the consumer mind space through the all new Tigor. The company worked intricately on the styling of the Tigor and employed the IMPACT design philosophy on it, only the 3rd vehicle to utilise it.
The Tigor is smartly designed on the outside with ‘Expressive’, ‘Exciting’ and ‘Extraordinary’ features. Its lively and dynamic stance exudes the feeling of youthfulness, reads a press release. The Tigor is equipped with a signature split LED tail lamp, smoked projector headlamps and stylishly integrated integrated high mounted LED stop lamp.
On the inside, the Tigor makes ‘intelligent’ use of space and has ‘inviting’ interior with connectivity features that will make owners feel ‘intouch’ with the world inside and outside, reads the press release.
The cockpit of the Tigor has a layered design theme and fine textures, using exquisite dual-tone interiors with premium finish and luxurious patterned seats with bolsters. Tata Motors worked closely with Harman to design and engineer an acoustic audio and infotainment system, certified by the globally renowned Golden Ears and tuned by seasoned Harman audio experts, reads a press release.
The Tigor will be available in 4 variants, XE, XT, XZ and XZ (O). Six colour options are available for the car—Copper Dazzle, Espresso Brown, Pearlescent White, Platinum Silver, Striker Blue and Berry Red. On purchase of the Tigor, customers will
get a standard warranty of 4 years or 75,000km (whichever is earlier) with an option to further extend.
