Surkhet villages under grip
Aug 21, 2017-The villages of Narsi and Jamu in Panchapuri Municipality, Surkhet, are grappling with viral fever outbreak. More than 500 villagers, among them, children and elderlies are down with viral fever, and the authorities have done little to treat the patients, said Jamana Bhandari, a local. Narsi and Jamu are situated across the Bheri river, and there are no health facilities. Although the District Public Health Office had recently organised a day-long health camp in the villages recently, locals said the health workers did not see all the sick. People are still getting sick, said Hari Dhakal, a local school headmaster.
