Nirendra Yadav of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality, Saptari, and seven other Nepalis— two from Sarlahi, two from Sunsari and three from Mahottari— are missing after the incident that occurred at their apartment building in Kantar, according to Nirendra’s brother-in-law, Baidhyanath Yadav.
On the night of August 29, the Indian migrant workers, who are said to be from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, had reportedly accosted Nirendra and his fellow Nepali apartment mates with knives when the latter complained of noise in the apartment.
Baidyanath said a fellow Nepali colleague of Nirendra has confirmed the
disappearance of Nirendra along with his seven mates, all employed at GUH Circuit Industry (PG) Sdn Bhd in Jambul.
Baidyanath has urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to investigate into the whereabouts of the missing Nepalis.
