The company is launching mobile phone brands, Tecno and itel along with accessory brand Oraimo.
The three brands will be available through its authorised distributor, Mahalaxmi mobile. Transsion Holdings is offering 12 month warranty on itel products and 13 month warranty on Tecno products. The company is also offering a ground breaking service proposition of 100-day replacement guarantee on Tecno and itel mobiles in the country. Oraimo accessories will be covered with up to 12 month’s warranty.
Marco Ma, CMD at Transsion Holdings was effervescent at the new venture. “Nepal has enormous potential for mobile phones and accessories but the wide-ranging demands of customers in the country have largely been unmet by fragmented offerings. We aim to fill the void with our end-to-end, value-added products and services,” said Ma. Transsion Holdings has operations in more than 58 countries across the globe. It is entering the Nepali market with four Tecno smartphones—the i7, CX Air, WX3 and WX4.
Santosh Bhandari, general manager at Mahalaxmi mobiles said that partnership with Transsion would be a fruitful one. “With our understanding of the local market combined with the scale and technology expertise of Transsion, Nepali consumers are in for a treat,” he opined.
