The Qualifiers featuring hosts Nepal, India, Iraq and Palestine will be held from September 20 to 24 at the APF grounds in Halchowk. The 10 group winners and five best runners up will qualify for the finals to be held next year in Malaysia. Goalkeeper Siddhanta Thapa Magar, midfielders Pukar Khadka and Sanju Shrestha and forward Sherab Lo Tamang are the new inclusions in the team announced by head coach Sunil Shrestha.
They replaced goalie Roshan Thapa, midfielders Sisir Lekhi and Bipin Thapa and defender Niraj Chaudhary from the Saff U-15 squad. The Saff Championship was held on August 18-27 at Anfa Complex in Satdobato.
Roshan Rana Magar has been named the captain. Nepal will start their campaign with a match against Iraq on Wednesday before taking on India on Friday. They wrap up the Qualifiers with a match against Palestine on Sunday.
