The event will see interactive stalls, making-based activities, DIY project exhibition, and locally made products for sale.
The highlight of the Mela will be exhibition stalls—some of which will feature physically interactive games—by Karkhana’s students.
Some students, aged 8-15, have previously displayed their works at other platforms such as the Art Market. “We design our programmes to stimulate creativity and maker culture. The Mela is a celebration of the culture of learning through making,” the organisers said.
The Mela attempts to provide a platform for art and tech enthusiasts to share, buy, or sell products. MakerKT, Kazi, Jhunkiri, Werobotics and Booktuk, among others, are putting up their stalls in the mela.
