Police identified the deceased as Kritika Dhungana (5) of Parsagadhi Municipality-1 in Parsa district, Bhim Maya Kafle (55) of Lalbandi Municipality-2 and Ramdev Sah (60) of Pidari in Sarlahi district. Their bodies were recovered some 10 km downstream on Tuesday.
Similarly, Radhika Dhungana, her son Kismat, and daughter Kriti of Parsagadhi are missing after they were swept away by the current.
Police said there was no sign of the missing victims till late Tuesday afternoon.
The flood in the river was caused due to heavy rainfall in the Chure region.
The victims were trying to ford across the river when they were swept away by the swift current.
In Myagdi, heavy rainfall has obstructed the vehicular movement along the Beni-Jomsom road after the flooded Begkhola stream washed away some section of the road at Raghu Rural Municipality-1 on Monday night.
Hundreds of passengers have been stranded after the incident, police said.
Heavy rains in the area also swept away the diversion route constructed at Begkhola area. Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Adhikari said on Tuesday that the stranded passengers, security personnel and the people from the Division Road Office were trying to divert the flood and resume the traffic movement.
