Six held for abducting woman

Prakash Bhusal, 22, and Anamol Jung Rana, 21, of Sainamaina; Lalu Pun, 39, and Dambar Bahadur Rana, 38, of Tilottama; Rajiv Sunari Magar, 21, of Suddodhan, Rupandehi; and Dipak Nepali, 28, of Bhumikasthan, Arghakhanchi have been arrested, said police.
According to investigation officers, the suspects had abducted the woman on September 18 and demanded Rs 20 million to in ransom.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai said the victim was whisked away in a car by the abductors while she was on her way to office.
Security personnel had chased down the abductors and freed the victim from Simara, he added.
The abductors, however, had managed to flee taking advantage of a minor accident of the police motorcycle which was chasing the car.
The suspects were picked up from different places.
