Secretary Bairagi meets Bangladeshi foreign minister

During the meeting, the two discussed a wide range of issues, including trade, transit, connectivity, energy, investment, culture, higher education and tourism, among others, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Promoting cooperation under BBIN framework also figured during the discussion, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Both sides agreed to work together to enhance partnership and collaboration on mutually agreed areas with a view to further strengthening bilateral ties, the ministry said in a statement.
Nepal, India, Bhutan and Bangladesh are the member of the sub-regional cooperation within the Saarc framework.

Foreign Secretary Bairagi also held a bilateral meeting with Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges MAN Siddique.
The secretaries focused their discussion on enhancing cooperation on transport and all modes of connectivity between the two countries.
Foreign Secretary Bairagi was accompanied by Chop Lal Bhushal, ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh, senior officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Energy and the Nepali Embassy officials in Dhaka.
Baragi is leading the Nepali delegation to the second round of Foreign Office Consultations between Nepal and Bangladesh.
