Students picketed the office of Education Minister Gopal Man Shrestha in the Capital on Friday, demanding withdrawal of the ninth amendment to the Education Act.
A student leader representing the All Nepal National Free Student Union-Revolutionary said they had to resort to protest because the recent amendment to the Education Act was against the students’ interest and that it offered leeway for schools and colleges to exploit students.
The students accused Minister Shrestha of doing a disservice to the education sector and threatened to boycott him in the coming days
