The rescheduled match also looks to be hit by a heavy rainfall, according to the local weather forecast. Nepal, who suffered a 83-run defeat in their first match at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation ground on Friday, were scheduled to play the second match on Sunday. In case of washout on Monday, both teams will share a point and Nepal’s slim hopes of earning tickets to the 2019 World Cup Qualifiers will end abruptly even before their final round fixtures.
The top four teams of the eight-team contest will earn entry to the ICC 2019 World Cup Qualifiers. Netherlands have all but sealed a place in the Qualifiers with 18 points after six rounds and are followed by Papua New Guinea (16), Scotland (15), Hong Kong (13) and Kenya (12). Sixth place Nepal (8) now not only need to win their remaining three matches but also hope Hong Kong lose to Papua New Guinea and Kenya go down against Scotland in both of their last round games.
