Nepal, who had slumped to a humiliating 14-1 defeat against Uzbekistan in their tournament opener on Sunday, are yet to open the account in Group ‘A’ that also consists of Turkmenistan. Only the top two teams from the group qualify for the finals to be played next year in Chinese Taipei.
Kyrgyzstan lead the standings with six points from two matches while Uzbekistan are second with three points but have played only one game. Nepal and Tajikistan, who will clash in their last match on Tuesday, are yet to open account in the points table.
Nepal conceded goal in the very first minute of the match and were 3-0 down by the interval. Alimov Maksat put Kyrgyz ahead and Tashtanov Aktai doubled the tally in the fifth minute before Baigazy Uulu Ulanbek made it 3-0 in the 13th. Skipper Kanetov Emil added another in the 21st and Aktai sealed the victory with his second goal three minutes from time in the 40-minute match. Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are playing in the late fixture of the day.
