Foreign tourists to SKorea keep falling for 7 mths

The number of foreign tourists visiting South Korea kept falling for seven straight months as Chinese tourists refrained from going on a tour to the neighboring country, a government report showed on Monday. According to the Korea Tourism Organisation, the number of tourists traveling to South Korea came in at 1,078,653 in September, down 29.2 percent from the same month of last year. The foreign tourists continued to fall since March as Chinese tourists refrained from visiting South Korea. The number of Chinese travelers visiting the country tumbled 56.1 percent from a year earlier to 318,682 last month. Tourists from other countries also declined amid geopolitical risks on the Korean Peninsula.
