“It is our target to move thousands of homeless families from their tents to new homes before next July,” said Bhusal during an interaction organised by the Reporters’ Club Nepal in the Capital on Wednesday.
“Around 58,000 houses have already been rebuilt and 150,000 houses are in the construction phase,” said the NRA chief.
Noting that lack of skilled workers was slowing reconstruction progress in many parts of the country, Bhusal said that the NRA will deploy qualified technicians to the earthquake-affected areas before mid-December to give impetus to the rebuilding works.
“We cannot call the reconstruction authority’s works a success unless all displaced families are relocated to new homes,” he said.
