Major forces get time slots for nomination
Nov 1, 2017-
Major parties in the district have agreed to file nominations for the second phase of federal and provincial elections at different times on Thursday. To prevent overcrowding by party supporters during candidacy nomination, the parties took separate time slots to register their names. An all-party meeting chaired by the chief election officer took a decision to this effect on Tuesday.
As per the agreement among the parties, the left alliance of the CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Centre) and the Rastriya Janamorcha will file nominations at 1pm while the Naya Shakti Party, Nepal and the Nepali Congress will be visiting the election office at 2pm and 3pm, respectively. Chief Election Officer Sanat Chandra Lawat said small parties and independent candidates, however, report any time from 10am to 5pm. There are two federal and four provincial seats in Dailekh. (PR)
