Body of ‘bus crash victim’ found

Police Inspector Barun Bahadur Singh of Gajuri Area Police Office said they had recovered a body that fit the description of the missing passenger, Abhinand Chaudhary.
Chaudhary’s family has been contacted for identify the body. Earlier, police had retrieved 31 bodies from the river. Meanwhile, a probe team formed by the government has returned to the Capital after completing its investigation.
Rajendra Sharma Kafle, an official at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and a member of the team, said the accident was caused due to reckless driving.
Police are after the bus driver, who is believed to be alive and in hiding.
At least 54 persons have lost their lives in 38 accidents in Dhading from mid-July this year, according to District Police Office.
