Tuladhar steps down from Anfa, NSC

Tuladhar, a Nepali Congres candidate in the provincial elections from Kathmandu Constituency 9 (A), has resigned recently owing to the election directives issued by Nepal Election Commission. “I stepped down as Anfa CEO due to election directives,”said Tuladhar.
The directive forbids employees of governmental and semi-governmental agencies from contesting in the election. Tuladhar also tendered resignation as the taekwondo assistant coach of the National Sports Council (NSC).
Anfa President Narendra Shrestha confirmed the report of Tuladhar, who was also serving as spokesperson of the football governing body of Nepal. Rohit Dahal, the NSC press advisor, confirmed his resignation as the assistant taekwondo coach. “Tuladhar furnished his resignation before filing candidacy in the provincial election,” said Shrestha adding that the post will remain vacant until the Anfa elections, scheduled for January 25 next year.
“Rajendra Neupane is the assistant chief executive at Anfa and we will recruit new person to the vacant position or even retain him after election if required,” Shrestha said. Tuladhar, also the president of ‘A’ division outfits Sankata Club, is an influential figure at Anfa and a close aide of president Shrestha.
