Fifth generation Hyundai Verna launches in Nepal

The sedan comes in three variants—EX, SX and EX (AT)—with the choice of manual or automatic gear shifts. The Verna EX is priced at Rs4.3 million, the Verna SX costs Rs4.5 million and the Verna EX with automatic transmission has a Rs4.7 million price tag.
The new Verna is powered by a 1,591 cc engine which produces a maximum power of 121.3 bhp (brake horsepower) at 6,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 151 nm at 4,850 rpm. The auto is equipped with a six-speed gear box and has a top speed of 196 kmph. Its can run up to 17.7 km on every litre of fuel.
The new Verna comes with LED tail lamps, shark fin antenna, hood character lines, muscular dual tone bumper and rear chrome garnish to its exterior. The sedan also comes with new features like a 7.0 touch screen with audio and video navigation, cooled glove box, door side map pockets, seat height adjuster, rear seat armrest cup holder, centre console storage and luggage lamp.
Verna is sold in 66 countries with over 8.8 million customers globally, the company said in a press statement.
“The new Verna flaunts futuristic design, ensures dynamic performance and comes with new safety technology and advanced features,” it added.
All Hyundai vehicles, including the Verna, come with a three-year warranty and four years’ free servicing. The authorised distributor will pay the road tax and ownership transfer fees.
