Gauchan murder case: Two MORE suspects Held

Nov 18, 2017-Police has arrested two more suspects in connection to the murder case of Sharad Kumar Gauchan, chairman of Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal.

The suspects, whom police identified as Basanta Thebe and Dhaniraj Yonghang, were caught from Kapan area in the Capital on Friday. 

Two pistols and 10 rounds of bullets were also recovered from the duo.

Thebe and Yonghang had reportedly worked as informants to the shooter on October 9, the day Gauchan was murdered at Prayag Marg near Shanti Nagar. 

Investigators also believe that the two men had hidden the firearm used by the 

shooter.

Police has already rounded five suspects, including a man believed to be Gauchan’s shooter. The Kathmandu District Court has remanded them to 60 days’ custody.
