As to who all were involved in the question paper leak, however, is not clear. Nor has there been any confirmation about IoM officials’ involvement. The IoM decided on November 20 to re-conduct the MBBS entrance exam on December 2 after calling the earlier test void.
Probe reports of Nepal Police and the TU have failed to mention how the questions were leaked and who all were involved. Police officials said they are still investigating into the matter. They have also said that they do not have evidence to show involvement of IoM officials in the leak.
“We have not found any evidence pointing at IoM officials,” said SSP Dibesh Lohani, chief of Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Teku.
Over a dozen people have been arrested in connection with the case. “The case has been forwarded to Kathmandu District Court,” said the police official.
Police suspect the people who were arrested with wireless devices from the examination centres might have passed on the questions to their group members who were outside the examination hall. However, members of Nepal Medical Council and TU’s probe committee have said Viber message that were exchanged had specific answers of some questions.
