Trade between Myanmar, SKorea hits over $400m

Trade between Myanmar and South Korea reached $402.2 million in the first half of the fiscal year 2017-2018, official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Sunday. The country’s exports to South Korea amounted to over $154.9 million while imports were $247.2 million as of September from April. The country usually imports cosmetic, food and electronic equipment, mobile devices and other goods from South Korea and exports agricultural products including cashew nuts, mangos, rice, beans and pulses. Bilateral trade between the two nations hit $866 million in last FY 2016-2017. Investment in Myanmar from South Korea totaled $3.7 billion since late 1988.
