Street play on elections, Mahadan, concludes

Organised by the Rastriya Nachghar, in co-ordination with the Biratnagar-based theatre group Aarohan Gurukul, the staging of the play is currently taking place in 45 districts around the country. As part of the campaign, a total of 22 theatre groups are staging the play in community spaces and marketplaces.
Originally written in Nepali, the play was translated into Maithali and Bhojpuri languages when staged in the districts across the Tarai. On Sunday, the play was staged in different venues in districts such as Sunsari, Dhanusha, and Sindhuli, among others.
Gyanendra Giri of the Lotus Youth Club, which co-ordinated the staging in Kailali district, said that the participation was “exciting.”
All the theatre groups involved in the staging concluded their respective programmes on Monday.
