Re-polling held peacefully

Dec 10, 2017-

Re-polling at the Wangla-based Mathura Nandaram School centre in Sandhikharka-5 went peacefully on Saturday. According to poll officials, of the total 2,024 listed voters, 1,272 cast their ballot on Saturday. The election scheduled for December 7 had been postponed following a dispute over ballot papers. Voters had vandalised the ballot box and torn up ballots after the papers were found to be lacking signature of election officer Surendra Raj Adhikari. (PR)
