Having emerged as the third largest party in the Federal Parliament and Provincial Assembly elections, the CPN (Maoist Centre) has called its secretariat meeting on Monday to assess the party’s performance in the polls and discuss on party unity with the CPN-UML.

“The meeting would assess the party’s performance in the latest polls besides the process of party unity with the UML,” said Maoist Centre leader Mani Thapa.

With the left alliance with the UML fetching a fabulous poll victory, Maoist Centre leaders have now focused their attention towards government formation and party unification process.

“Also will be on agenda will be the incumbent government’s reluctance to hand over power even after the left alliance received a fresh mandate,” said party Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal. (PR)
