Nepal lose 6-0 to Bangladesh

Tohura Khatun scored a hat-trick for Bangladesh. Monika Chakma gave an early 11th minute lead for the hosts and Anuching Mogini doubled their lead by scoring first of her two goals two minutes later. Khatun made it 3-0 in the 32nd minute before Bangladesh went into break with four-goal cushion as Mogini netted again in the injury time.
Nepali team is lead by Preeti Rai as captain and Ganga Gurung as coach.
Khatun added to her personal tally scoring another in the 69th minute before wrapping up a comprehensive victory with a hat-trick in the 72nd minute. Nepal will take on India on Tuesday before playing against Bhutan two days later.
In the day’s another game at the Bangabandhu Stadium in Dhaka, India saw off Bhutan 3-0. India netted all three goals in the first half with Kritina Devi opening the account in the fourth minute. Priyanga Devi doubled their lead in the 15th minute before Pratiksha Lakra netted the third goal five minutes later.
The four-team tournament organised for the first time by South Asian Football Federation will be played in the single round robin format. The top two teams after the league will play for the title.
