Claiming that the unification process was initiated without formal decision at the party committees, leaders Gopal Kirati and Biswo Bhakta Dulal ‘Aahuti’ oppose the plan. Kirati has called a gathering of his group on Tuesday while Dulal has started consultations among leaders saying that the communist movement must not be sabotaged while there are millions of supporters in the country.
“Our discussion for a new movement has taken momentum,” said Dulal. Leaders including Lokendra Bista, Dhruba Parajuly and some from the Mohan Baidya-led party have launched a bid to reorganise.
