Singh, who had been a fierce critic of the Maoist Centre, reached Dahal’s new residence at Khumaltar, Lalitpur on Thursday morning to discuss the contemporary political issues, according to Dahal’s secretariat.
During the meeting, Singh called on Dahal to continue with the left alliance in the National Assembly election after the success of federal parliament and provincial assembly polls.
The two leaders also agreed to field common candidates of the left alliance for the National Assembly election to bolster the bloc.
Singh told Dahal that his party would not join the merger process that has been started between the UML and the Maoist Centre.
The two communist parties in the left alliance has formed a six-member task force
to make necessary preparations for the NA poll for completing the PR list of the House of Representatives and forming the provincial governments.
