During the two-hour long performance, Nepathya went on to sing songs that sampled their discography.
The show started with the rendition of Kuroop Anuhar, which is yet to hit the airwaves. Right after the rendition, the band performed their first ever song, Aaganai Bhari, a lyrical video of which was released last year, along with the band’s tenth studio album.
Nepathya, then, went on to perform songs like Koshiko Pani, from their latest album, and staples such as Chari Maryo, Resham, Bhedako Oon Jasto, Taal ko Pani and Jogale Hunchha, among others.
During the show, Nepathya frontman Amrit Gurung also took some time to speak about contemporary national issues such as the arrest of activist Dr Govinda KC. “Dr KC is an icon of integrity and has been fighting for a better healthcare system and reform in other sectors as well. I appeal all of you to support him,” Gurung said.
Subsequently, Gurung performed a cover of Gaun Gaun Bata by the legendary folk-rock ensemble Ralpha, before wrapping up the show with Jangi Nishan.
The band is now slated to perform in Naraynghat, Chitwan, which will mark the Maghe Sankranti festival, on Jan 15.
