Young Women Entrepreneurs Summit slated for Jan 20

Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF) is organising the Young Women Entrepreneurs Summit on January 20, with an objective to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship. The theme of the summit is ‘Connect, Collaborate and Create’.
“This is the first time that NYEF has as many as 20 women members in Kathmandu Chapter and we are growing,” said the forum in a press statement. “The love and support of a prominent figure of the society will start this hearty event for women entrepreneurs.” Mt Everest climber Shailee Basnet will grace the event as the key note speaker. Basnet is a former journalist who scaled Mt Everest in 2008. She is now leading programmes dedicated to education and empowerment and is an internationally sought motivational speaker.
The event will provide insights on the inspiring entrepreneurial journey of Sewa Pathak (Vianet), Anisha Shakya (Muskan) and Prathana Saakha (Helmets Nepal). The event is designed to give an interactive platform to connect and have opportunity to collaborate and network.
The event will have a inspirational stories sharing session by Samiksha Rai, Pack My Lunch Pvt Ltd (Food service Contractor), Aayushi KC, Khalisisi and Priya Joshi, #MakerKT.
NYEF is a programme that is trying to foster the essence of entrepreneurship and encourage women to plan and start their own business.
It also aims at initiating the networking culture to benefit from the businesses which are already being run by women. The event showcases women entrepreneurs who are not very visible in the media but are tremendous contributors to the economy and their community.
