Jan 26, 2018-
A delegation of the All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU) and the All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union-Revolutionary (ANNFISU-R) on Thursday handed over a field report to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sirsaiya, Parsa showing that 50 bighas of Nepali land has been encroached upon by the Indian side while fixing the boundary pillars.
Members of the student unions had visited Chhapaiya in Parsa on January 20 with a campaign of border security and awareness generation.
The report has demanded a review of border maps, resolution of the border disputes, building embankments on 57 rivers that are used as demarcation lines and removing infrastructure built by the Indian side on no man’s land.
PM Deuba assured the students that the government would not allow anyone to encroach upon a single inch of Nepali territory.
