The government has deployed 27 employees, led by a joint-secretary to the PA Secretariat of Province 3. Sources said that the assembly meeting preparation could be affected due to the absence of the deployed employees.
“They might be on the way. Even if they do not show up on time, there is no crunch of human resources to run the basic operations and make necessary preparations for the assembly meeting,” said Reshmiraj Pandey, chief secretary of provincial council of ministers. According to him, the employees at Regional Education Directorate and Regional Administration Office are busy for the preparations.
The first PA meeting is scheduled to be held at the office of Regional Education Directorate situated in Hetauda Sub-metropolis-10.
A four-member team from federal parliament secretariat that arrived in Hetauda on Monday is busy preparing the meeting hall. The team, led by joint secretary Rojraj Pandey, has prepared the podium and working to arrange seat for the 110 PA members.
“The meeting hall will be ready by Wednesday evening. There will be media centre and health unit in the provincial assembling building,” said under secretary Adhiraj Rai.
A training session is also under way for 30 police personnel selected from the District Police Office, Makwanpur, who will be deployed as marshals at the assembly.
The employees assigned for Province 5 are also yet to arrive in Butwal, the temporary capital of Province 5. “Not only the physical arrangement, we have to carry out various facilitation works for the provincial assembly meeting. We are in confusion what to do in the absence of the employees,” said section officer Sabitra Sharma who has been facilitating the assembly meeting.
Chief District Officer of Rupandehi district Hari Prasad Mainali said that they have urged the centre to send the employees on time, but to no avail.
