Galaxy A8+ is available in two colour variants, Black and Gold. It is being offered at a special introductory price of Rs59,990.
Take one look at the Galaxy A8+ and you might mistake it for its more expensive , flagship S8 and S8+ counterparts. The Galaxy A8+ features a large Infinity display that was popularised with the launch of their flagship models. The screen is supported with ergonomic curved glass on the back and front. The company expects the Galaxy A8+ to set a new standard for uninterrupted, immersive viewing experiences. The 6 inch FHD Super AMOLED Inifinity display goes beyond the bezel so that consumers can view the whole scene across their screen for the ultimate cinematic experience, reads a press release.
Samsung is looking to introduce high-end features in a phone that is targeted at the mid-range market.
Galaxy A8+ is performance powerhouse with 6GB RAM, 64GB internal memory and expandable memory of up to 256GB. The smartphone also features Samsung’s first attempt at using dual cameras on the front. The Galaxy A8+s’ 16MP and 8MP f1.9 dual front camera allows the user to take the type of selfie they want—from close-ups with the background blurred to portrait shots with a clear and crisp background. The user can also adjust the bokeh effect before or after taking the picture to create high-quality images.
On the back of the Galaxy A8+ is a 16MP camera with f1.7 lens that snaps bright, clear pictures. According to the company, the advanced camera is able to
take brilliant photos even in low-light conditions. The new smartphone also allows the user to customise their photos with fun options, from adding stickers to their selfie.

It is a phone with attitude, in all aspects,” said Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, Head IM Biz, Samsung Nepal.
Galaxy A8+ also features ‘Always On Display’ which allows users to get information at a glance without unlocking their phone. It is IP68 certified, making it water and dust resistance. It is also the first in the A series to support Samsung’s Gear VR. The virtual assistant Bixby is available on the Galaxy A8+.
