He was recruited as the chief physiotherapist for the film, Tiruwa confirmed.
Thugs of Hindostan, which began shooting earlier this week, is slated for release in November. The film boasts a star-studded cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. With a budget that runs north of INRs 200 crore, the film is by far the most expensive project financed by the vaunted production house, Yash Raj Films.
Action sequences for Thugs of Hindostan will be coordinated by the same team that had worked on the massively popular Bahubali films and, as such, Tiruwa is expected to be a busy man behind the scenes. Back in 2016, Tiruwa was physiotherapist for the Indian Pro Kabaddi team Bengal Warriors. His experience working in the Pro Kabaddi League was what had brought him to the attention of the filmmakers, Tiruwa said.
“This has been a great opportunity for me as doors have opened for other lucrative prospects. However, I still prefer being a sports physiotherapist,” Tiruwa has said.
Aside from working with the Nepali national cricket team in the World Cricket League Championship, Tiruwa has also served as chief physiotherapist for the 2017 iteration of the Dhangadi Premier League.
