The body of one Narendra Gharti of Barekot Rural Municipality-2 in the district has been lying at a health post at Limsa for two days for postmortem due to unavailability of a doctor.
“We have no idea what to do with Gharti’s body as it is yet to be examined,” said a local resident Bishnu Jyoti.
Health workers said that preparations were underway to bring a doctor from nearby Dalli health post in Nalgadh Municipality to examine the body, he added.
Gharti fell off a cliff while returning from a function on March 5. Besides, the health facility is finding it difficult to cater to visiting patients for want of a doctor and health staff. The health post has vacancies for two MBBS doctors. A doctor posted to the health post is also absent from work for the past one month, further aggravating the matter, said a health worker.
