Those who submit applications will undergo mentorship beginning Sunday.
Of those who undergo mentorship, four will get an opportunity to pitch their business ideas during the International Entrepreneurship Conclave – Connect-IN, which is being held on March 24 in Kathmandu.
The conclave, which is being jointly organised by Clock b Business Innovations and the Embassy of India in Nepal, will be attended by Ritesh Agarwal, founder and CEO of OYO Rooms, Ashutosh Tyagi, senior vice president of Tata Capital Private Equity, Navin Surya, chairman of Payments Council of India, and Vandana Sharma, Woman Icon Asia Pacific 2017 BERG Singapore and founder of Startup People Consulting.
Other Indian dignitaries who will be taking part in the event are: Kaushik Mukherjee, co-founder and managing director of FAB BAG, Avelo Roy, managing director of Kolkata Ventures and Yatin K Thakur, co-founder of StartUp India and Coworkin.
The event is expected to serve as a platform to connect young entrepreneurial minds of Nepal and India and will be the first of its kind platform for entrepreneurs of both the countries to come together and exchange innovative ideas, Kapidhwaja Pratap Singh, second secretary (commerce) at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, told journalists on Wednesday.
“Nepal and India are dominated by youths and entrepreneurial spirit. We hope the interaction between young entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, equity partners and operators of start-up incubators during the conclave will be productive for Nepal’s start-up ecosystem,” said Singh.
