At the international pageant, Adhikari will compete under the category of Mrs Asia Pacific Global and Lama will vie for the Mrs Asia Pacific Intercontinental title. Adhikari and Lama are the two top winners at the Mrs Himalayan beauty pageant held earlier this year. Alongside the title, Adhikari, 39, had also won the Best Personality and Best Dress titles; while the second runner-up of the Mrs Himalayan, Lama, who is 30, had won the Mrs Intelligent title.
The Nepali contestants were picked by a panel from Amazon International.
The two contestants are currently into training and personality development sessions mentored by choreographer Himani Subba.
The beauty pageant Mrs Asia Pacific provides a platform for married women in the Asia Pacific region to “shine and empower other women in their country.” The 2018 iteration of the pageant will see 30 contestants representing countries such as Nepal, Singapore, Russia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, India, and China, among others.
The contestants will compete under five categories—Mrs Asia Pacific Global, Mrs Asia Pacific Intercontinental, Mrs Asia Pacific Tourism, Mrs Asia Pacific Cosmopolitan, and Mrs Asia Pacific All Nation—alongside fifteen other subsidiary categories.
The pageant will take place in Malaysia on March 24.
