Disabled persons call for inclusive info technology

A two-day seminar on “Accessible and Inclusive ICTs for Person with Disabilities” concluded in Kathmandu on Saturday. The event held in Kathmandu was attended by experts and other stakeholders from different countries, including Sri Lanka, India and Myanmar. They were of the view that the technologies built with the participations of all stakeholders would only resolve the problems faced by the community. Birendra Raj Pokhrel, former chairman of Nepal Federation of Disabled, informed participants about Nepal’s international commitment on inclusive and accessible information technology. Participants further added that new technologies must pay attention about the persons with disabilities. (PR)
