Police find cremated remains of Sneha
Mar 21, 2018-
Police have found the cremated remains of Sneha Yadav, who was murdered by her father, in a wheat field at Nibuwa Tol in Shahidnagar Municipality-2, Dhanusha.
Sneha’s remains were found based on the information provided by her father, Dilip Kumar, during interrogation.
A twelfth grader at the Kathmandu-based NASA International College, Sneha was murdered by her parents in Wakil Tol, Janakpur-2, on February 20 for refusing
to marry the boy of their choice.
“The girl’s parents had tried to destroy the evidences from the cremation site, but we have recovered some fragments of bones,” said Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Singh.
Police have also impounded the car in which Sneha’s body was transported on February 21.
Sneha’s parents had initially claimed that his daughter had died of sudden illness while undergoing treatment in India.
Her suspicious death had caught the attention of neighbours who informed the police, leading to the arrest of Dilip Kumar, a week after the incident, from his in-laws house in Siraha. Sneha’s mother is at large.
