The four-day long fest will feature plays from Nepal, England, France India, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Germany, Phillipinnes, Scotland and the Netherlands, among others.
Alongside staging of plays, the fest will also see interaction programmes, workshops and panel discussions.
Speaking about the oncoming fest, Ashesh Malla, director of the organisers Sarwanam Theatre, said that if Nepali theatre is to really prosper, it has to branch out and share its theatre tradition and welcome and embrace theatre culture of other nations as well. “This will not only help our theatre culture but might also go on to help our tourism industry,” Malla said. This is the first time that Sarwanam is organising a fest of this kind.
The fest will see staging of 13 plays in total and will run every day from April 2 to April 5, starting from 11 am in the morning.
