Norway, Germany hand over school

This is the biggest school in the district, and is the first fully reconstructed building to be handed over by Recovery Program Nepal (RPN), implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaftfür Internationale Zusammena- rbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Embassy said.
The reconstruction of the school has been fully funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy.
GIZ/BMZ has contributed with support to soft components such as training on earthquake-resilient building, safeguarding measures and menstrual health in the framework of Recovery Programme Nepal. The school has 467 students, of which 234 are girls and 6 are with disabilities.
