Student designers gear up for Sera Di Stilista

This year’s edition, titled Journey of Fashion XIII-Sera Di Stilista, is slated to take place at Hyatt Regency Kathmandu on May 19. The show will mark the college’s 13th Graduation Fashion Show, which is taking place since 2005.
In the run up to the event, a Prejudgment event was held at the College’s premises on May 3, which saw presentation of swatchwork (which is a prototype of the final dress, made using swatches, fabrics and other accessories), made by the graduating designers for the Creative Wear sequence, which is the highlight of the Graduation Fashion Show. The Prejudgment event featured works by a total of 63 student designers who will showcase their designs under 16 separate groups.
The Creative Wear Sequence will also be featured at the final show. The Sequence, dubbed “focal sequence” of the show, is themed “Endangered Species” and features 16 creative designs and aims to raise awareness about various threatened species of floras and fauna and to illustrate their beauty through fashion and creation.
Beside the Creative Wear Sequence, the show will also have sequences such as Razzle Dazzle themed Glitter and Gold; Inheritance Deviation themed Hakku Patashi; Revamping Styles themed Dress Transformation; and Chromatic Tiles-themed Colour Blocking.
The show will mark the graduation of the final year students at the college which is under the Purbanchal University’s Fashion studies programme.
