NCP withdraws support to Province 2 govt

The newly formed party accuses the province government of indulging in corrupt practices

May 28, 2018-Nepal Communist Party has withdrawn its support to the government of Province 2.

The party leaders Satya Narayan Mandal and Ram Chandra Mandal announced the decision at the first monsoon session of the Province Assembly on Sunday.

The two leaders said that the NCP was removing its support to the government because it had achieved nothing during its first 100 days. They also accused the ruling parties of disrespecting the opposition and indulging in corrupt practices.

The newly formed party after the merger between CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) has 32 seats in the House.

The session was adjourned after NCP’s announcement.
