Nepal pledges $30,000 to think tank

Nepal has announced to contribute $30,000 to International Think Tank for the Landlocked Developing Countries (ITT-LLDCs) initiated by Mongolia. The announcement was made by Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali on Tuesday while addressing the inaugural ministerial-level conference of the ITT-LLDCs in Ulaanbaatar.

“It is important to ensure adequate resources required for effective operationalisation of the think tank. In this regard, Nepal for now pledges to make a modest one-time contribution of $30,000 to the think tank,” Gyawali said.According to Foreign Minister Gyawali, the establishment of the Think Tank is a milestone achievement for the LLDCs. “ITT represents a good beginning for our collective good. We believe that the think tank can and should play a critical role in promoting the interests of LLDCs,” he said.
