Jun 20, 2018-

Love arrives like tea powder

Adding colour and taste to life

(Provided it is heated well!)

The colour blends slowly

No rush, no fear, no fuss

Then once they infuse

They never leave you

The cups are still there

On them I can trace your lips

and mine

The sound of boiling water

Brings to me a vision of you

With no interstellar suit

In a cosmic backdrop

We both blushed as we dissolved

In the vacuum of love

There are only phantoms here; a memory of a kiss on my head brings out the dead,

And I feel I am again with you,

On a cold night we’ve been through,

Though these are seared into memory

Remembrance is pointless and painful

I know that you’ve left

But a part of you remains with me

And makes me thirsty for tea
