At least 18 people were injured after a microbus met with an accident along the Koshi Highway in Dhankuta on Friday.

According to the police, the microbus (Ko 1 Kha 2847), en route to Dharan from Hile, met with an accident at Ramailo Ghumti along the Dharan-Dhankuta road section in Dhankuta-7 due to brake failure. Two of the injured—Kamala Bhujel, 50, of Dhankuta-6 and Suraj Tamang, 18, of Pakhrebas Municipality-5—were seriously injured.  

They were referred to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. The other injured were admitted to the District Hospital. (PR)
