38 Nepali men stranded in Saudi Arabia

Thirty-eight Nepali migrant workers have been stranded in Saudi Arabia after their company terminated them for protesting against low wage. Sesan Shrestha of Jalapa, Khotang, said they were fired by Sonmar Contracting Trading and Advertising Company after they halted their work for a day for not getting promised salary or the works that they were promised. The workers, who hail from Khotang, Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Bhojpur, Sarlahi, Baglung, Dadeldhura, Kailali, Dailekh and Ramechhap districts, are without job since Monday. They have appealed the government to rescue them. (PR)
