Narayan Prasad Pandey, the municipality chairman,said the displaced families were living in tents madeout of tarpaulin sheets provided by the municipal office.
The landslide triggered by continuous rainfall hadburied the homes of Bir Bahadur Tamang, Hari Bahadur Tamang and Sambar Tamang.
Landslides were also reported in other parts of the district on Wednesday and Thursday. Nearly a dozen homes were damaged and at least four people suffered injuries, the local administration said.
A landslide swept away the houses of Makar Jung Tamang and Shyam Bhadur Tamang at Diyalo settlement in Shivapuri Rural Municipality-3. Two other homes suffered damages. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Four people were injured when a house collapsed due to a landslide in Chogate, Suryagadhi Rural Municipality-3, on Thursday.
In Bidur Municipality-2, a flash flood damaged the homes of Ram Bahadur Kasahi and Masina Khadgi.
Chief District Officer Uddhav Bahadur Thapa said the annual landslide incidence had increased in Nuwakot following the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake.
Scores of households in Dupcheshwor, Shivapuri, Suryagadhi, Tadi, Kispang, Meghang, Belkotgadhi and Bidur are at high risk of landslides, he added.
