has ruled out controversy over his school leaving certificate.
Joshee, who spent most of his years delivering justice, yearns for justice at the brink of his career. Sources said Joshee wants the government and the PHC to independently clarify the controversy surrounding his academic certificates.
Issuing a statement on Saturday, Joshee asked the Constitutional Council and the government to take necessary steps to reveal truth concerning his certificates through an independent body. “Let me express my serious concern over the PHC’s unfair conclusion, reached without proper investigation into the truth about my certificates based on a rumoured controversy,” Joshee stated. He termed his rejection as a ploy to weaken the independent judiciary.
He noted that he read the move as a plan to serve the interests of some individuals through political meddling aimed at weakening the judiciary. Joshee called the Nepal Rastriya Vidhyapeeth that provided him the certificate as equivalent to the SLC Board.
“No controversy was raised over my certificate when I served at the appellate court for 22 years and four years as a Supreme Court justice,” Joshee said. (PR)
